And some steps to do it...
In the last 250 years, Carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in the atmosphere have risen dramatically from around 280 to more than 380 parts per million (ppm) due to human activity, particularly the combustion of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas, resulting in global warming. This has a negative cascade effect on nature visible as sea-level rise; floods, droughts, and tropical storms; changes in the amount, timing, and distribution of rain, snow, and runoff; and disturbance of coastal marine and other ecosystems. To mitigate the effects of rising CO2 levels in the atmosphere, technically and economically feasible measures are urgently required to reduce human-caused CO2 emissions and remove CO2 from the atmosphere. It can be accomplished through forest and soil conservation practices that enhance carbon storage (such as restoring and establishing new forests, wetlands, and grasslands) or reduce CO2 emissions (such as firewood consumption, developing renewable energy sources like solar, wind etc.). India has enormous potential to be the global leader in carbon offsetting, being the homeland of 130 crores of population.
Meensou India brings decades of global expertise in ecology, wildlife, environment, GIS, biotechnology, IT, rural development, agriculture and supply chain to design, deploy and implement the carbon offset projects combining economic growth with equitable wealth distribution and environmental protection. We develop carbon offset projects of superior quality and results having total control.

The project was for the period of 6 months with objective
1) Testing of the cookstove Prathamesh - 2 to determine it's thermal efficiency and CO and PM and other related emission factors.
2) Suitable modification in the stove to improve it's efficiency beyond 35%.
Introducing Prathamesh - 1 Improved cookstove
Meensou India Private Limited is promoting its Koshal Improved Cookstove Project in Odisha, developed in association with EcoAct, France, as a carbon credit project. Under this project, energy-efficient cookstove Prathamesh – 1 will be provided to rural households. Our improved cookstove Prathamesh – 1, is made of mild steel with an energy efficiency of 33.4%. This cookstove reduces harmful emissions and the firewood required to cook meals, saving families time and money.
for Meensou's Utkal Uday and Koshal Project
Ashok Zutshi , advisor, Meensou India Private Limited visited Krishi Jagran headquarters and interacted with the founder and editor-in-chief, M C Dominic today. He shared about his clean access energy programs with a focus on the Carbon Mitigation project In a meeting in New Delhi.
The first step...
Meensou India Private Limited has started Koshal Improved Cookstove Project promotion campaign in Odisha. The project aims to provide a clean and energy-efficient cook stove, “Prathamesh – 1”, to households in rural areas where traditional three-stoned mud stoves are commonly used. These traditional mud stoves emit harmful smoke and contribute to deforestation. Prathamesh – 1 cookstove is made up of mild steel with an energy efficiency of 33.4%, uses less firewood and emits significantly less smoke, making cooking safer and more sustainable. Not only does this project promote cleaner cooking practices, but it also empowers women by reducing their time spent on collecting fuelwood and allowing them to focus on other income-generating activities. There, great enthusiasm is marked among village women for Prathamesh – 1 cookstove, understanding its benefits in day-to-day life.
Accelerate towards green world...
Meensou India recently started the distribution of fuel-efficient cookstoves to households in Odisha under the Utkal Uday Improved Cookstove Project, and users' feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Not only are families saving time on fuel collection from the forest, but they're also experiencing. · Daily firewood consumption reduction by about 55 to 60 per cent. · Improved indoor air quality and faster cooking times. · Reduced emissions of pollutants, like carbon monoxide and particulate matter, which negatively impact human health and the environment. · Lowered risk of burns and other accidents. · Increased efficiency. Overall, using a fuel-efficient cookstove is a great way to make cooking easier, safer, and more sustainable. Meensou India has thousands of happy, energy-efficient, improved cookstove users across Odisha.
Igniting Utkal Uday Improved Cookstove Project in Odisha
On 29th November 2022, M/s. Meensou India has conducted Local Stakeholder Consultation meeting for its Utkal Uday Improved Cookstove Project in Odisha in association with myclimate, Switzerland. Under this project, fuel–efficient cookstove with an energy efficiency of 32% will be distributed in rural areas of Odisha. The project will provide a clean kitchen the women of rural Odisha, conserving forest and environment. Adoption of fuel-efficient cookstoves will decrease household fuel use and therefore, carbon emissions. This project is a small step towards mitigation of the impact of climate change bringing joy and prosperity in the society.
The first step...
November 12, 2022, Kuchinda, Odisha - The first self help group (SHG) / beneficiary level meeting for Promotion of UTKAL UDAY Improved Cookstove Project was organized by Meensou India Private Limited at Kuchinda . The main focus of event was to high light the benefits of the project not only to the society but also to environment and the importance of SHG in the ecosystem. Our app which will be used for the distribution of the cookstove and its monitoring was explained to the participants. The event had 70 plus participants. The event was successful in creating expected excitement toward the cookstove.
A journey begins...
Meensou India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the CSIR – Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar, India for technology transfer of fuel-efficient biomass cookstove and license for manufacturing through its sister company M/s. SwayamShlok Enterprises. Meensou India is developing Cook Stove Projects in rural Odisha and West-Bengal as Carbon Credit Project replacing handmade three stoned mud cookstoves with the fuel-efficient cookstove at rural households providing clean kitchen.
